About the service

Car Detailing: how we handle it

Detailing goes further than a wash. Dust works into vents, seat seams and carpets, sand dulls the paint, and hard water leaves spots that a normal wash does not shift. A detail removes that build-up step by step: deep interior cleaning, decontamination of the paint, machine polishing where needed, then a protective layer on top.

Much of the work can be done where the car is parked, provided there is shade and the building or community permits it. Heavier jobs such as multi-stage paint correction or ceramic coating are better done indoors at the workshop, where dust and temperature are controlled. Tell us the car and its condition and we will say which applies.

Short answers to what drivers ask before and during a battery call-out.

Can detailing be done in my apartment parking?

Often yes, but it depends on the building. Some towers and communities do not allow washing or machine work in the basement. Check with building management first. Where water use is restricted, a low-water method can be used for the exterior, or the car comes to the workshop.

How long does a full detail take?

It depends on the size and condition of the car and the level of polishing. An interior and exterior detail takes several hours. Multi-stage paint correction or ceramic coating can keep the car for a day or more. You get an estimate after we see photos.

How is detailing different from a car wash?

A wash removes loose dirt from the surface. Detailing cleans the places a wash skips, such as vents, seat seams, door shuts and wheel arches, removes bonded contamination from the paint, polishes out light defects and leaves protection behind.

Is engine bay cleaning included, and is it safe?

It is done on request. The engine must be cool, sensitive parts such as the alternator, fuse box and air intake are covered, and low-pressure water or steam is used. On older cars with brittle wiring we may advise a dry wipe-down instead.
