About Fiamm
Who makes Fiamm batteries and what they are known for
Fiamm was founded in 1942 in Montecchio Maggiore, near Vicenza in northern Italy, and is also widely known for car horns. It supplies starter batteries to European carmakers and the aftermarket. The range is easy to follow: Titanium covers conventional batteries and Ecoforce covers the start-stop types.
Fiamm in UAE heat
Titanium batteries use calcium alloy plates and a sealed lid with a labyrinth that returns condensed vapour to the cells, which limits water loss in hot conditions. Ecoforce AGM is sealed with no free acid. Fiamm calls its enhanced flooded type AFB, and it is designed to cope with the partial state of charge that city driving with the AC on tends to cause.

What is the difference between Fiamm Titanium and Ecoforce?
Titanium is the conventional sealed battery family for cars without start-stop. Ecoforce is the start-stop family, offered as AFB (enhanced flooded) and AGM. If the car switches the engine off at traffic lights, it needs Ecoforce. If it does not, Titanium is the right family.
What does AFB mean on a Fiamm battery?
AFB is the Fiamm name for an enhanced flooded battery, the type other brands label EFB. It has reinforced plates that tolerate more start cycles than a conventional battery. It suits basic start-stop systems, while cars with energy recovery usually need AGM.
Is Fiamm only for Italian cars?
No. Fiamm makes DIN-size batteries that fit most European cars, including German and French models. It is simply a brand many Italian car owners recognise. What matters is that the size, terminal layout and technology match your car, which we confirm first.
