The BMW Z4 Roadster and its 12V battery
Later BMW Z4 Roadster model years may have start-stop or a battery sensor that controls charging. Where they do, the replacement has to be the same type (EFB or AGM) and may need registering to the car.

After fitting, the new battery is registered with a diagnostic tool. If the capacity or type differs from the original, the car also needs coding to the new values.
