The Scion xB and its 12V battery

Later Scion xB model years may have start-stop or a battery sensor that controls charging. Where they do, the replacement has to be the same type (EFB or AGM) and may need registering to the car.

On older Scion xB model years the fault is sometimes a corroded terminal, a tired earth strap or a weak alternator, not the battery itself, which is why the charging system is tested before we recommend a replacement.
