Nissan Patrol Battery Replacement in Dubai

The Nissan Patrol has been sold across 39 model years (1988-2026), and its battery changed between generations in size and sometimes in technology. That is why we start with the model year and a photo of the battery label before loading a replacement.

Later Nissan Patrol model years may have start-stop or a battery sensor that controls charging. Where they do, the replacement has to be the same type (EFB or AGM) and may need registering to the car.

On older Nissan Patrol model years the fault is sometimes a corroded terminal, a tired earth strap or a weak alternator, not the battery itself, which is why the charging system is tested before we recommend a replacement.

Sunny, Sentra, Altima, Maxima and the Patrol use conventional flooded or maintenance-free batteries in JIS sizes. Newer models fitted with idle stop need an EFB or AGM battery. Many recent Nissans have a current sensor on the negative terminal that controls charging, so the correct battery type matters more than it used to.

Under the bonnet, usually on the left or right front corner with a top bracket. No registration is needed on most models. After reconnecting, some cars need the power window auto function reset and the idle may hunt briefly until the engine computer relearns. The negative terminal sensor must be refitted carefully, not levered off.
